Meet Our Team

Chief of Staff

Jordan Richards, DVM

Dr. Richards graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and completed his clinical rotations at the University of Minnesota. He received his bachelor's degree in biological sciences with an emphasis in neurobiology, physiology, and behavior at UC Davis in 2012.
Dr. Richards has worked in all levels of veterinary medicine, from kennel assistant to Area Chief of Staff in both private and corporate owned practices since 2006.
Special interests include primary care and internal medicine (endocrinology). Dr. Richards is very experienced in soft tissue surgery and dentistry procedures. While he mostly works with dogs and cats, Dr. Richards also enjoys working with small mammals and the occasional reptile. He is Fear-Free certified.
Practice Manager

Jennifer Dawson, RVT

Jennifer started her career in veterinary medicine as a Client Service Coordinator in 2004. Her love and passion for pets motivated her to increase her knowledge and skillset in veterinary medicine. This allowed her to advance from a Veterinary Assistant, to Lead Veterinary Assistant, and finally to Practice Manager which is the position she has held the majority of her career.
In 2020 Jennifer obtained her credentialing by the California State Veterinary Medical Board as Registered Veterinary Technician.
Jennifer is extremely passionate about quality medicine, patient and client care, associate engagement, learning and development, and leadership. She is Fear-Free certified.
Veterinarian

Meagan Christenson, DVM

Dr. Meagan Christenson grew up in Alaska, where her love of animals and the outdoors first began. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and has been dedicated to caring for animals ever since.

Since beginning her veterinary career, Dr. Christenson has developed a passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients while building strong relationships with their families. She enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine offers and values the opportunity to help pets live healthier, happier lives.

Hospital Lead

Veronica, RVT

Veronica graduated from Carrington College in 2011 and has been working in the veterinary industry for the past 13 years. She is also the Medical Coordinator for a no kill non-profit cat rescue. In her spare time she is an avid reader and skin care enthusiast.
Veterinary Technician

Yerica, RVT

Yerica graduated from Carrington College in 2020 and has a strong passion for animal care. She enjoys spending time outdoors and attending sporting events with her children. She values family, and finds fulfillment in caring for animals and spending quality time with loved ones.
Veterinary Assistant

Brianna

Brianna has been working in the vet field for over 9 years with a record of delivering compassionate care to both clients and animals. She recently earned her degree in Biomedical Sciences at Sacramento State University. She has a wide variety of experience within shelters, general practice, emergency, and hopes to soon gain equine experience! She is deeply passionate about animal healthcare and plans to pursue a career as a veterinarian. On her free time she enjoys relaxing with her cat Binx, cooking, and trying any new experience

Kyla is a passionate animal lover who finds joy in the company of all creatures, big and small. Whether it's hiking through scenic trails, camping under the stars, or exploring new parks, she thrives in the great outdoors. Nature is her playground, and she loves discovering the beauty and serenity it offers. When she’s not outside, you can find her caring for her pets or planning her next adventure. Veterinary Assistant

Gigi

Gigi began her journey in Veterinary Medicine in 2020, with a broad interest in various fields including general practice, emergency care, and surgery. She is currently on track to receive her Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology in October 2025 and plans to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) soon after completing her degree. Once Gigi obtains her RVT license, she aspires to continue her education to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science. Outside of her professional life, Gigi enjoys spending time with her beloved pets—Lulu, Gary, Tuffy, and Remi. She also has a passion for fitness and enjoys working out. Exploring new coffee shops, cooking, and shopping is another favorite pastime of hers.

Brisa

Brisa's love for animals began at a young age and inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After graduating from Carrington College in 2024, she continues to grow in the field while working toward her RVT license. She enjoys providing compassionate care to animals and supporting their health and well-being. Outside of work. Brisa enjoys exploring new coffee and matcha shops, shopping, and staying active on the weekends.

Catalina

Catalina is a soon-to-be graduate of Carrington College with a lifelong passion for animal care. Catalina enjoys spending time with her cat, Leya, going hiking, and baking. She is dedicated to providing compassionate care to animals and looks forward to continuing to learn and grow in the veterinary field.

G

G has worked in veterinary medicine since the age of 20, beginning her career in general practice before transitioning to emergency medicine. After years in the ER, she has returned to general practice and inpatient care. While her passion remains emergency medicine—the excitement of never knowing what will come through the doors each day—returning to general practice has taught her the value of slowing down and building lasting relationships with patients and their families.

Sabrina

Sabrina is currently an undergraduate student at University of California, Davis and is working her way to becoming a veterinarian. As a former student volunteer at Front Street Animal Shelter, they gained valuable experience by working and caring for shelter animals. When she’s not studying, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Moon and Mimi.
